How an israeil sold 3G Orange to the swedish

Jacob Kedmi, one of Huchison's and Partner's [israeli cellular company, Orange brand] leaders, lead the project of 3G Orange brand penetration in Sweden. He says that "the swedish company started the process of 3G penetration a year too early. The phones and the network that weren't still at their best, lead Partner in Sweden into a service crisis".

That's why it was decided to recruit the websites of the leading newspapers in Sweden. They convinced the websites' editors to let them use the contents articles as a way to educate the people. They funded it, and received the option to write articles without any sign that it was commercial, although it's cellular company's material, "because what we do is only 'consumer education'...there was no sign that it was advertising". It took them one month to change the public opinion from negative to positive.

What about the ethical aspect? "Since these are only contents that were meant to educate the public to consume the new service right, without making advertisement to the advertiser, there is no any ethical problem". Kedmi thinks this method is going to succeed also in Israel.

Caught in bed with the power company

Josef Parizki's ministry blocked every legislation regarding the power company installations' damages, it blocked legislation for lower EMF radiation standards for power lines and transformers, supported building more coal power stations instead of less polluting methods, ignored clean energy issues also when it was proven they could save millions of shekels and lives to Israel. Always went with the will of the power company. Now the minister that is in bed with the power company, Josef Parizki, is asked to resign. If he doesn't resign within one day, his party is going to fire him, it was already agreed between his party and the prime minister Ariel Sharon. The newspapers cover it on many pages, it is defined as a political earthquake.

Newton Aldermen Deny AM Towers

Last night the Newton Board of Aldermen (NBOA) voted to deny an amendment to a special permit which would have increased the AM broadcast wattage in the Oak Hill Park community from 5000 to 95,000 watts.

However, the industry's calculations do not take into consideration local hot spots caused by power lines, etc. I measured electric fields in several locations bordering the towers that would have greatly exceeded this safety level ( see http://www.ci.newton.ma.us/Planning/750%20SawMill/sklar.pdf
