New Iraq War Grilling For Tony Blair
Tony Blair is to make his second appearance before the Iraq war inquiry on Friday next week, 21 January 2011. The former PM is one of a number of witnesses to be recalled to give more evidence to the inquiry, headed by former Whitehall mandarin Sir John Chilcot. Mr Blair?s hearing will start at 9.30am and is scheduled to last four and a half hours. Other witnesses who have been recalled include former foreign secretary Jack Straw and former chief of the defence staff Admiral Lord Boyce. Lindsey German, convener of the Stop The War Coalition, warned: ?Blair will be met with demonstrations and protests at the Chilcot inquiry. We are determined to hold him to account.?
