On August 24, the AP broke the news that the CIA and the NYPD are combining forces to spy on Muslims in New York City. Since the CIA is prohibited by law to collect intelligence on American citizens, this is more than newsworthy. It s probably unconstitutional, which explains why the NYPD has, according to the report, kept these activities secret. This is no ordinary program, nor does it seem to be merely about sharing expertise...

I urge my Senators to oppose H.R. 2219, The Department of Defense Appropriations Act. This bill, which passed the House in July ... 'Is filled with pork and earmarks.' Will cost $649 billion overall 'Will cost the average family $6,300 ... What am I getting for this 'defense?' Nobody knows - not the Pentagon, not Congress, not We the People...
