''Die Arbeitsgelegenheiten nach der Mehraufwandsvariante, allgemein als 1?-Jobs bekannt, stehen seit Jahren in der wissenschaftlichen Kritik, werden regelmäßig in Praxisüberprüfungen verrissen und sind bei vielen unmittelbar Betroffenen verhasst. Das darf als allgemein bekannt vorausgesetzt werden. Bestenfalls ermöglicht der 1?-Job einen kleinen aber deutlich unterbezahlten Hinzuverdienst, denn das Arbeitslosengeld II schützt nicht gegen Armut und hat einen sowohl ausgrenzenden als auch demütigenden Grundcharakter. Die Phalanx der Billigjob-Befürworter bröckelt, weil alle schönredenden Begründungen einer seriösen Überprüfung nicht standhalten können. Nun hat ein Maßnahmeträger im hohen Norden ein neues Argument entdeckt. 1-?-Jobs haben demnach einen allen Beteiligten bislang unentdeckt gebliebenen hohen Stellenwert hinsichtlich der Lebensqualität. Der Vertreter eines Beschäftigungsträgers wird mit folgender Aussage zitiert: ''Was für uns der Urlaub ist, das ist für diese Menschen die Abwechslung."Der 1-?-Jobs als sechsmonatiges Urlaubserlebnis, - Erlebnisgenuss, ein Platz an der Sonne für einen erlauchten Kreis von Langzeitarbeitslosen? 1-?-Jobber werden zur Arbeit verdonnert und dafür auch noch verhöhnt. Wird sich das Jobcenter dankbar erweisen?''
