Höhepunkt dieser Debatte war schließlich das Urteil des obersten deutschen Verfassungsgerichtes im Februar 2010. Der Bochumer Anwalt für Sozialrecht Martin Reucher ist nach einer schwerer Erkrankung im Alter von 56 Jahren am vergangenen Freitag verstorben. Reucher wurde bundesweit bekannt, weil er vor dem Bundessozialgericht und dem Bundesverfassungsgericht für eine Erhöhung der Hartz-IV-Sätze für Kinder gestritten und eine Reform des SGB II durchgesetzt hatte. Im Nachgang sah sich Reucher seines Erfolges für die Rechte von Millionen von Hartz IV Betroffenen beraubt, weil die Politik die ergangenen Urteile nicht verfassungsgemäß umsetzten. In einem Gastbeitrag in der Süddeutschen Zeitung erläuterte er im Nachgang, dass Hartz IV-Bezieher keine Chance hatten, mit Hilfe des Verfassungsgerichts ihre Lebenslage zu verbessern...
