Der nächste Schritt für Occupy Wall Street: Häuser besetzen. Betriebe besetzen

'Um ihr zweimonatiges Bestehen zu demonstrieren, hatte die »Occupy Wall Street«- Bewegung für Donnerstag, 17. November 2011, zu einem Aktionstag in New York und landesweit aufgerufen. Trotz der Räumung des Camps im Zuccotti Park zwei Tage vorher, hielt die Bewegung am Aktionstag fest und einige Tausend beteiligten sich an verschiedenen Aktionen. Der Tag begann um 7 Uhr mit einer »Shut Down Wall Street«-Aktion; für 15 Uhr wurde zu »Occupy The Subways« in verschiedenen New Yorker Stadtteilen aufgerufen, unter anderem in Manhattan am Union Square zu einer massenhaften Streikversammlung von StudentInnen; und um 17 Uhr zu einer Versammlung zur Unterstützung von ArbeiterInnen im Kampf um Arbeitsplätze am Foley Square .
