Stuttgart 21: Das dümmste Großprojekt?

Fortschritt sieht anders aus: Vor 15 Jahren fuhr die Bahn in zwei Stunden und fünf Minuten von Stuttgart nach München. Heute braucht sie für dieselbe Strecke zwei Stunden und 19 Minuten. Doch mit Hilfe von Stuttgart 21 soll ja jetzt bald alles wieder schneller gehen: ganze 26 Minuten schneller soll die gleiche Strecke werden. Aber dafür will die Bahn viele Milliarden Euro investieren.

Bei der 88. Montagskundgebung gegen Stuttgart 21 sprach der bei Behr gekündigte Betriebsrat Mehmet Sahin zu den DemonstrantInnen: "(...) Wenn es bei S21 darum ginge Arbeitsplätze zu schaffen, dann könnte mit dem Geld ein Mehrfaches an sinnvollen öffentlichen Arbeiten finanziert werden. Und zwar nach Tarif und nicht mit Billiglöhnen, wie das jetzt von Bahn und Baufirmen geplant wird! (...) Der Kampf um S21 ist nicht nur ein Konflikt um Verkehr und Umwelt. Es ist ein tiefer sozialer Konflikt! Es ist auch ein Konflikt um die Demokratie, also um die Frage wie entschieden wird. Wie entscheiden, heißt aber immer auch wer entscheidet? (...)"
