Why the Republican War on Workers Rights Undermines the American Economy

Robert Reich, Robert Reich's Blog: 'Republicans in Congress are taking aim at the National Labor Relations Board, which is likely to consider a relatively minor rule change allowing workers to vote on whether to unionize soon after a union has been proposed, rather than allowing employers to delay the vote for years. Hartz IV: Jobcenter-Anforderungen machen krank

Laut einer wissenschaftlichen Studie von Dresdener und Leipziger Forschern sind die gestellten Anforderungen der Jobcenter an Hartz IV Bezieher oftmals unrealistisch und zuweilen sogar gesundheitsgefährdend. Erwerbslose werden vielmals dazu angehalten viele Bewerbungen schreiben, über eine hohe Arbeitsorientierung zu verfügen, eine starke Konzessionsbereitschaft an den Tag legen und zudem auch noch Optimismus zeigen. Wer die vorgegebenen Bemühungen nicht einhält, wird sanktioniert. Das sind falsche Anforderungen, wie die Prof. Dr. Gisela Mohr vom Institut für Psychologie II der Universität Leipzig in dem Resümee schreibt.
