Obama s Private Killing Machine
By Frontline - PBS
They are known as 'JSOC' - Joint Special Operations Command. They report directly to the president and, 'operate worldwide based on the legal (or extra-legal) premises of classified presidential directive.' John Nagl, a former counterinsurgency adviser to Gen. Petraeus, described JSOC s kill/capture campaign to FRONTLINE as 'an almost industrial-scale counterterrorism killing machine.'

Obama agrees to form joint national security body with UK
Barack Obama will announce during his first state visit to Britain this week that the White House is to open up its highly secretive national security council to Downing Street in a move that appears to show the US still values the transatlantic 'special relationship*.

There Is Much More to Say
Noam Chomsky, ZNet: 'On May 1, 2011, Osama bin Laden was killed in his virtually unprotected compound by a raiding mission of 79 Navy Seals, who entered Pakistan by helicopter. After many lurid stories were provided by the government and withdrawn, official reports made it increasingly clear that the operation was a planned assassination, multiply violating elementary norms of international law, beginning with the invasion itself. There appears to have been no attempt to apprehend the unarmed victim, as presumably could have been done by 79 commandos facing no opposition - except, they report, from his wife, also unarmed, who they shot in self-defense when she 'lunged' at them (according to the White House).'

Pakistan Fighting Off US Aid
Zofeen Ebrahim, Inter Press Service: 'The killing of Osama Bin Laden on May 2 in a covert operation by the United States has prompted strident calls by many in Pakistan to see it as a lesson for the country to stand on its feet, say no to foreign aid and shrug off the title 'hired gun of the U.S.' One of those voices belongs to the chief minister of Punjab province, Shahbaz Sharif, who said his government would stop accepting U.S. aid, and proceeded to cancel six agreements with the U.S. in the fields of health, education and solid waste management.'
