'Dirty Tricks' by electrical utility company DTE

DTE Energy has sued a couple who own homes in Macomb and Oakland counties for removing a so-called ''smart meter'' which the homeowners say is a health hazard. Dominic Cusumano, 58, and his wife, Lillian, were sued by the utility for $25,000, according to a DTE Energy spokesman.

The new technology will use Wi-Fi Direct to sense pedestrians and cyclists in poor visibility conditions. Car and Driver magazine reported the technology could be mandatory in-car equipment by 2020.
